Consultation

Consultation services provide fine tuning and guidance to hyperbaric administrators and staff.

The operation of a safe, compliant, and functional hyperbaric program is a complex undertaking. Because of the associated skill-sets required at hyperbaric facilities, and because there are often very few “experts” at a given facility, many program coordinators find that after several years of success, hyperbaric and wound care programs begin to “lose their way.” Whether it be because of staff leaving, reduced support from the personnel you depend on, or if you are struggling to meet the operational requirements of the UHMS or other organizations, LIHS is here to help.

Our comprehensive consultation and evaluation services are the first step for any hyperbaric program that has either slowed, or is struggling to open. Our consulting services encompass:

  • Technical Implementation/Review, including schematic design, oxygen pipe design, and review of local building, fire, and health care codes
  • Operational Implementation/Review, including service reimbursement structure, staffing requirements, staff credentialing and qualifications, and program management scope.
  • Clinical Implementation/Review, including key indications, standards of care, as well as clinical concerns, medical documentation, and more
  • Policy Implementation/Review, including conformity to all safety, clinical, and facility regulatory bodies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission,  the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the National Fire Protection Association, and more customized to your facility and location.
